The aim to establish this college is to enhance the hearing, contemplation and meditation for oneself and teaching, debating and composing for others,and be learned, conscientious and good for both self and others. With such nine attributes, one can benefit immeasurably to the human society and to produce more of such humans being, this institution was established.

This college was founded in the year 1994 whenHis Eminence KhenpoJamyang Tenzin Rinpoche was enthroned as the abbot and since then, he has also been teaching the classes.

To attend the monastery’s college, one has to graduate the monastery school where one learns the path of reasoning consists of all detail, middling and concise commentary, literature, poetry, history of kings and the History of Buddhism. After that the college education starts and they impart the Bodhisattva way of life and a letter to a friend as the course for the first year, and Epistemology for two years, then Madhyamika for two years, after that followed Abhidharmakosh and Pragyaparamita for two years each and by that completes the kachupa degree. Thereafter one have to study Vinaya for two years and three precepts for two years by which one completes the lobpon degree which is equivalent to the master degree. One has to study Mantrayana for three years after it.

In the end, we can see one who possessed such nine attributes can serve this human society by taking the different responsibility such as abbot, master, teacher and practitioner, treasurer and principal by benefitting both the self and others.

Presently our problem related with the futureplan is that as we don’t have the separate library and classroom for the college and the college is expanding by which we are in plan to establish the classrooms and the library.
